Paul P. Valerio, PE – Chairman

Paul is the founding principal of Valerio Associates Consulting Engineers. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1954 where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Paul
continued his education at the University of California at Los Angeles and Iowa State University, and received his Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1964.  

From 1957-1963 Paul was an Assistant Professor at Polytechnic institute of Brooklyn in the Civil Engineering Department. During his tenure he provided structural design services to Architects and Consulting Engineers.

In addition to managing his company, Paul is Principal-In-Charge on many projects and works closely with clients from schematic design through the completed construction process.




John C. Valerio, PE, LEED AP - President

John was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil engineering from the University of Hartford in 1981. He has structural engineering licenses in more than 30 states including New York, New Jersey, California and Pennsylvania. Between 1981 and 1987 he worked with Purdy & Henderson Associates in New York as a project manager.

 In 1987 John joined Paul P. Valerio P.E. Associates as Project Engineer and is now the Principal-In-Charge of many projects. His important and primary function is to recommend to our clients an economic structural solution for the project which includes choice of materials, design schemes, etc. from its inception to the completed design. John’s thorough and his comprehensive knowledge of design and construction techniques has enabled our firm to provide the many special inspections required by code.

 John’s dedication and professionalism in meeting the clients expectations as to the schedule and budget, has greatly contributed to the growth and success of our firm.
